Top Gear did a special on the atom last year.
I heard about the same time that company got the US manufacturing rights. I drive through there a few times a year, and plan to stop in.
The US model will be using the Cobalt SS drivetrain.
You should see the monster 12-cylinder cars they're working on down there also. I was half-tempted to apply for a couple jobs.

is the Atom faster 0 to 100 than a Ferrari Enzo.
YES the 300-hp Atom is actually quicker. the Enzo, costs half a million dollars more.
0 to 60 with the 245 h.p. engine, 2.8 seconds. (2.5 seconds with the 300 h.p. honda)
The all-wheel-drive 2007 Porsche 911 Turbo launches harder, has 235 more horsepower, and is 0.9 second slower.)
Cornering grip is well over 1 g. should they say, please remove your false teeth before you test drive the car.
that is alot of car for a base price that starts at around $36,000.
damm that would be FUN, hard to keep the BUGS off of your teeth.
