Default New York to LA in 31 hours and 4 minutes! Cannon Ball Run

http://www.wired.com/cars/coolwheels...?currentPage=1

This is there wired article for the "Cannon Ball Run" done by two New Yorkers from NY to LA to beat the time: 32 hours, 7 minutes, set in 1983 by David Diem and Doug Turner. Very interesting read.

I once drove from Chicago to Las Vegas in 24 hours flat.

There was alot of less-than-legal activity involved in that trip

Wow. EXCELLENT READ.

Probably never would be a BC canonball run unless you were in a modded SSEi with no limiter With the speeds they were up at, to make up time to keep above their close to 95mph average, That'd be insane.

They basically did the near impossible in this day and age.

Absolutely oustanding.

It'* not often I'll take the time to read a 6 page write up but this one did it for me.

I read it all too. Very interesting!

My best is 2000 miles in 2 days as part of my "Western Circle Tour" last December/January.

This is the video that inspired this run. Definitely worth watching check it out. Try to count the amount of red lights the guy just blew by.
