Lots of colors, I'll get a pic of her color chart or something. I don't have to send away. A friend has a sign company and his wife does great work with their vinyl cutter. I'm going to FLA this Friday. I'll get to the P O before then and get pricing for the box and postage.

When I get back, I'll be polishing/waxing the car before I put it away for the winter. I'll be looking to put some serious pressure on COTM.

You're going to FL? Why not just have one made in my car color and drop it off at my house?

I have no problems w/people one off'ing things for themselves. It just builds forum awareness. But there is a firm line there. No profit taking, doing business as a non vendor, or doing forum goods for the forum members. And Rick wouldn't be happy with side window decals competing against our own.

I've waited nearly a month for you to get me a vector copy of what your talking and never got. ??? I don't think the dimensions work well on the front but would on the bottom of the rear glass.

I'll PM those who PM me with their address and color(*)/quantity, my PayPal. I'll try to get to Post Office before it closes tonight and see what the box/postage will be. I have someone to help me whittle down a mountain of split firewood and stack out back, so it will have to be later this afternoon.

The etched glass vinyl is a thin textured flat translucent vinyl with very small sparkles. It does a good job of making the glass looked etched. And what is on my car. That said, because of the thinness of this vinyl and the texture; it is the hardest of the cut vinyls to get off the shiny card that protects the adhesive from drying. I had to use a razor and help lift off the letters off it. Both on this one and the original ones from the old Bonneville Club. So if you have no prior experience in applying cut vinyl decals or patience I don't recommend trying the etched glass. With all, it has a skill level and it'* up to you to get it right. I'm doing this as a courtesy and not taking money out of my pocket because some may think windshield banners are cake to install.

When the decals are cut, the surrounding waste area'* of the letters are picked off. Then masking tape is applyed over the letters and they are lifted off the OEM backing and placed onto a less sticky backing. I strongly suggest it being put on when you receive them. Masking tape has a way of drying out quicker than we would like. When you receive the decal make sure it is room temperature, and with the letters facing up on a flat surface like a table, Run a credit card over it several times at an angle (pointed to the left as you sweep right) to insure the masking tape holds the letters. Now pull the tape and letters off the backing and apply to the windshield. Make sure the windshield is clean. the best way I found is Rubbing alcohol first, and then window cleaner. Rubbing alcohol alone leaves a smudge. Once on, don't clean the windshield again for at least a day. This has to be done by two people given it'* size. I figured where I wanted the bottom of the letters, used a tape measure on each side and marked it with two little pieces of masking tape on each side of the windshield. once applied, use a credit card again on top of the tape carefully to avoid cutting through the tape. Pull the tape off carefully/slowly. Have a single edge razor blade handy to help any letter that doesn't want to stick to glass. just help start the letter coming off and then push the tape back down and begin peeling again. Most of the precautions I mention won't happen the majority of the time, but tips for when things do happen. I just want everyone to have a great looking windshield. Any questions, just ask. It isn't rocket science but with decals this size, there can be a problem arise.
