I recently blew my 5.1 surround sound [not dolby digital.. just analog]. It was 75 watts [ran off my PC'* sound card, un-amplified]. I put on my old 25watt 2.1 speakers, and although they suffice, they are not good enough. I want something badass, something I can be proud of, something to rattle the windows of my neighbor'* homes. I was thinking of maybe a lower end home theater in a box, type deal. Since, I have my PC and my Dish Reciever that I would like surround sound from. I want to know what you guys think is the best "budget" HTIB. I have a strict $200 budget, and eBay is probably the only way I would be able to afford it. It needs to have speakers [of course] and it needs to have wild bass!

The surround sound I have in my room is a Sony HTIB with only a 75 watt sub. It pounds but the sub occasionally pops under extremely low 5.1 dig/DTS bass at its max volume setting. It cost me $239. I bought a Panasonic one that had a five disc DVD changer and was rated at 600 watts (sub: 150x1). It sucked and for $499 it was returned immediately.
$200? Where is this going? On the PC or the stereo? I wouldn't get a 5.1 for < $200. Better to get some good bookshelfs you can add on.
Otherwise for PC..
Best $200 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....5&type=product
Cheaper, and very good
These impressed me this weekend at best buy.

Logitech.. bah! Wouldn't touch them with a 10ft pole. My logitech 5.1 blew up like 50 times, and each time I "fixed" it.. it broke something else. I want something that I can hook up to my PC.. but it be A/v format type ****, with svidieo inputs, along with optical inputs [I have optical on my PC]. I don't see what'* wrong with a Home Theater System in a Box.. WITHOUT dvd player for under $200.
