Default New song has been created. Update 9-14:Threw on another song

Hi Folks,

In my spare time, I like to make up my own songs on my computer. I use a program to create the drum beats, then I use my guitar and a bass to create the rest. The song was named by my son. It'* called No Idea.

Give it a listen, feel free to burn it onto CD and take it in your car:
http://www.snapdrive.net/files/48587...0No%20Idea.wma

Here is where I could use some help:
The song was sort of written for my car, that'* why it'* a bit aggressive

What I would like is a recording of when the Drivers Info rings in our Bonnies. I would take the sample, and place it here and there within the song. I don't have the ability to record something like that, I can only record to my computer. If someone could capture a recording of that, and/or a good sample of SC whine, that would be great! I would work it into the song.

Noticebly absent are vocals. I am saving $$ for a powered mixer so vocals can be recorded. It'* the main missing piece for my "Home Recordings"

All in all, I think it turned out okay for what it cost: $0.00

Hope you like it. Feel free to leave some feedback, good or bad.

Any help with the samples would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Adam

I'm listening to it right now adam and I'm liking it. I think Vocals would really add some more flavour. By the way, I didn't know you knew how to play guitar, is that 6 string?

Hi Frank,
Yes, I am using my 6-String electric Signature Odyssey. A guitar Alex Lifeson of Rush designed. He used Signature guitars during the Presto / Hold Your Fire era. It'* a really nice guitar, someday I'm hoping he'll autograph it for me!

I used quite a few tracks for the guitar, as I wanted it heavy!!

I am still working on a way to record vocals. No one has provided the chime sample yet, so if anyone is working on it, thanks in advance! If not, I'll try to capture something and work it in.

Thanks for listening!

Adam

You've got talent and a great guitar to boot. Rush is playing at ACC in the next couple of days. Oh how I wish I could have gone.

I didn't know you could play guitar, you should have played for us at ONBF 07, it would have been great to hear you play. Heck we could have played for the whole street to hear. Maybe next year.........deal or no deal?

Yes, I wish I snagged tickets for the upcoming Rush show too.
They are my all time fav!
We were planning on seeing them at Darrian Lake, but it rained. Rats.

Thanks for the compliments, by the way. I've been playing for a long time, just never went any where with it. I had a CD out from my old band, Resin. I'll bring you one some time.
Well, next ONBF I am hoping to hang around a bit longer, so for sure, I could bring the guitar along, no problem! I hear Brian J is quite a singer!

When I work the vocals out for this song, I'll be sure to send you a finished product.

Here is the guitar:

Hope you're doing well,
Adam

I have a couple of guitars here so you don't have to bring yours if you don't want to. I'm looking foward to hearing you play one day. Rock on Dude!

Definitely like the layout of it... my friend and I used to do this a while back before we all started college. I have too many guitars to list lol. Only thing I don't know that I'm too fond of is the hardcore reverb... or maybe it'* just because I'm listening to it on a laptop lol.

I didn't use a whole lot of reverb. A bit of delay to thicken up the lead guitar, that was about it.
What sort of guitars do you have?? Any for sale?

You could definately use that in a game as BGM. Sounds very Quake-ish
