personally.. i dont think going over 100 pixels in width is a big deal...
if you are running 640x480 and you have to scroll to see a 600 wide sig.. you have problems.. and problably dont even feel like surfing the net...anyone running 800x600 should have no problem..
i think the real crackdown should be filesize.. that is whats killing 56k'ers... keep it below 40kb and everyone is good...
if u have problems getting it below 40 without making it smaller... contact someone with PS and they can do it for you
btw... MR WREN is sitting at 87k right now

Willwrens is 600Pixes wide and about 230pixels in height TOTAL...this is probably a good guideline to go by, we dont have to make em super small, also a word of advice if you want a bigger picture just put the text in with the image or something.
Some were getting out of hand though.
