I might but i might not be able to right away. I live in a dorm... Just don't make the wire really long, or very hard to splice etc....

Oh no, you have to do the work! I guess you'll probably need some more assistance than just those two wiring diagrams. Let us know when you want to tackle it.

2 names came to the top of the list very quickly. acg_ssei and fuddyduddy121.
...and just imagine if we actually agreed with each other'* opinions!

Both of these guys give accurate, detailed, and easy to understand LOGICAL troubleshooting and mechanical advice on a daily basis, and have saved many of our asses on several occasions. Too many to count.
Thanks! Sorry about that suggestion on checking the gas tank with a match, though...

For their contribution, a special rank has been assigned to acg_ssei and fuddyduddy121. From this day forward, they will be ranked as "Resident Gearhead" with 5 stars for the time being. This is to show our appreciation and respect for them and their help and knowledge.
Thank you very much! There are times when I think I'd have more fun doing car work for a living instead of my Real Job (tech support for customers who produce PDF documents for composition systems, either in publishing or over the web), but then I think turning it into a real job might spoil the enjoyment of it. If my real-world circumstances ever change, though, maybe I'll think again. Find a nice big GM dealership someplace near me and move in as, I dunno, on-line tech consultant or something.

The stars may change to a different color in the future, options are being discussed offline (my idea was to combine the yellow and red to make orange and someone else suggested black, for grease),
Maybe Blue, for electrical sparks and oil fires, or white for massive amounts of steam, such as when someone asks me what I think of their new Toyota...

but for the time being, the titles are changed, so please join me in congratulating AND thanking these two members for an amazing amount of contribution in the last year. You have the unanimous approval from the Administrators and Moderators of this site, and the members, as well.

Kudos, and keep it up, you two.
Thanks again; I'll try!

Glad you finally found your way in here, Andy. Again, congrats and thanks to you both. Jeff is working on your stars as we speak.

And that match and gas tank idea worked. I found it. It was louder than I expected.
