The new GM trucks (Silverado/Sierra) are damn nice. My dad just bought a 2001 today GMC Sierra Z71 1500. White, 4 door, shortbox. The entire body on it is basically composite so you never have to worry about any dents or rust. The new 5.3L engine seems to be more powerful than the 5.7 was. The interior is the real kicker.. It is a black leather interior with heated seats on both front seats, cd/cass, heated mirrors, rear defrost, and all the options. It has 24,000 miles on it, and he paid $21,000 for it. It'* a damn nice truck.. a lot better than the 95! I can't believe how far the styling and quality has come since 95 on the GM trucks. The 01' seems to be built much better, and so much inside has changed for the better. If you're looking for a new truck, I definately recommend the new GM models!

I agree 100%. My boss has a 2003 GMC Sierra crew cab with the 6000 series V8. That truck has pulled 9,000lbs of rock without a problem, all at the same time transporting us workers to the jobsite in what seems like a luxurious family sedan.
