I was talking to my dad today, and i guess some friends of his wifes breeds shelties.
I have been looking for a dog for a while now. These are pure-bread shelties, and they want $500 a pop. There was no way i was paying 500 for a dog. But they have the runt that they were going to put down, because it is blind in one eye, and it walks in circles. I talked to my step-mom, and she is taking care of it now. The breeders gave it to us for free.
I don't live with my dad and step-mom, so they are taking care of it right now. I am still deciding weather or not i want to keep it. If i don't my dad and step-mom are going to keep it.
The vet that we took it to said it is blind in its right eye, and thats the reason it walks in circles. It hasn't trained itself to only use one eye yet. But he said there is a slight chance it could be brain damage and it could never be normal.
But hopefully everything works out and i get to have a pure-bread sheltie for free.
And i know worthless without pics. I am going back to my dads tomorrow and i will get pics of her.

Also i've been thinking of names that i could use.
Right now i'm kinda leaning toward Gada (pronounced gay-duh :P ) it'* hebrew for lucky. So it fits, and it sounds cool. But I'm open for others too.

Went over to my dads today, got some pics of her.
We figured out today that she might be deaf too. We aren't 100% sure about that yet though. If shes not deaf she at least has a hard time hearing. She'* really weak right now too because she was the runt in a litter of 10, so she didn't get fed much from the mom.
I'm still debating weather or not i want her, shes going to hang out at my dads house for a little longer and if she starts to strengthen up i probably will take her.

I'm not sure if there are any "tests" we can do to test her hearing besides like clapping next to her head and see if she reacts, but i'm gonna go back tomorrow and try something to see if i can tell if she really is deaf.

You can tell from the pictures that her right eye is bad.
