New Band In Town
This is a shameless plug for my son'* new band "The Lotus Experiment". They finally put a couple songs online for everyone to hear. They are an instrumental trio that play a different blend of original music, explained in their own words...
The Lotus Experiment
Let me know what you think. Better yet, let them know what you think!
EDIT: I forgot to tell you that their songs are about 5 minutes apiece!
an amalgamation of rock, ambience, jazz, and metal as painted by Salvidor Dali'* illegitimate web-toed son upon an aural canvas

I like the transitions from soft to hard and back to soft again. They sound pretty tight for only being together 6 months!! Who recorded them?
Just curious, because I have a small home recording studio set up

Dan the drummer has a small recording set-up. They are trying to set up a professional recording session to make a marketable CD. The three of them are serious about their music being professional quality and are never satisfied, of course.
They do not record seperate tracks and multi-layer them. They want all their music to be completely reproducable in concert by just the three of them. So far, only the one opening act gig. Working on more.
You'll notice multiple time sigs going on at the same time sometimes.
