Default Need info on Atari 7800 cartridges.

Ok, I happened upon 6 brand new Atari 7800 tapes, sealed and in the packages for a buck a piece. From what I am being told, a few of the games I have are considered rare. Does anyone know of a site that lists the games, so I can check the rarity of each and how much they are worth? Thanks!

I'd say go to ebay, and do an advanced search for 'completed listings' on atari cartridges.

Wouldn't eBay be a good source for current market value?

Personally I hated the 7800, Trammeil killed it ; cancelled its production until he saw how great the NES was doing (too late by the time they got it to market) and then with DRM. No other developer could make games for it without Atari America adding their digital signature. The European version didn't include this 'feature'.

I bought my first Amiga back then and I was a diehard Atari fan.

Edit - oh yeah! I just remembered that there was a gun for this and anything that used it was rare even back then.

amazon might have some.

Also, graphic wise, how good was the atari 7800, I mean compared to the 2600?

I can't hit gamesites from work, you'll have to google that yourself.

But the 7800 had two graphic chips in it, one ran while it was in 2600 mode, the other was fro 7800 mode. So depending on what the cartridge was programmed for there might not be any improvement. The 7800 ran all 2600 games iirc.

Darn, I'm having no luck. I know there was a site I was on that listed Atari games, and showed a pic, screenshot, and rarity, and a general idea of what they were worth.
