depending on the track they have more or less, on super speedways they must put a plate over the intake manifold or carb. It has 4 small holes, they do this to keep speed down, and keep the cars together. This is more "exciting" but there'* always a "big one" (wreck) now because of this, and it'* scary.
Basically, they are totally custom. My folks used to live next to one of the shops that make 'em in Midland TX.
