Default Nascar

Back in August, my father in-law and I were sitting in our boat doing some fishing when he asks me if I wanted to go to the race in Dover in Sept. He said he would buy the tickets, and all I had to do was drive us down. Hell ya!

I got to watch Jimmy Johnson win the race and see Tony roll his Home Depot car.

Yesterday, he asks me, you wanna goto Daytona for the 1st race? All have to do is drive us down.
So, come next month we are driving down to Florida for the opening NASCAR race. Boo ya, can't wait for that one!!!

Now has anyone ever been to Daytona? I'm wondering about handicapped parking for him. We had a hellacious time at Dover trying to find a good spot.

Oh hell ya Dan, Dover was my first NASCAR Sprint race. A few years ago we went to the last NASCAR Busch race in Nazareth PA. 250 laps of NOTHING. Only ONE mandatory caution lap.

If anyone has never been to a NASCAR race before, take HEARING PROTECTION!! After the first 3 laps, you WILL have a headache!

Mike...get a hand held scanner and the headset. I have a buddy that'* really into NASCAR. He said that with the scanner and headset you can hear the pit crew and drivers talking to each other.

One, you didn't watch Tony roll his car. You watched Joey Logano roll his car.

Two, I've never been to Daytona, but I have friends that have. It is a very handicappable place. Don't worry.

Ok, how early do we need to get there so we have time to GET handicap'd parking? He was thinking of leaving 2 days prior. I don't think we are looking at anything at the track on Saturday, we just want to arrive safe and sound with plenty of time. But as far as race day, what 6am to get parking?
