Subungal hemotoma, blood under the finger nail. After a few years all your fingers will look like that

edit: oh btw you can relief the pain by either heating up a pin and pushing it into the nail or drill it out. Once the blood releases there wont be any pain

yuk....but PDad'* right....I slammed my thumb in a car door and that same thing happened (subungal hematoma). it swelled up and I had to go to the doc and have them poke a needle through my thumbnail to relieve the pressure and it hurt much less. I don't think I would dare to do it myself though...

Oh drugs are working fine, it doesn't hurt too much, just bruised to crap..... I've heard to poke ahole, but that'd hurt.

No it doesnt hurt if done right but this is only in extreme cases like Miami and the car door **ouch**.
