Not quite 10 years

You forget about the Brat. That was based on the Justy I think, and it was 4wd.

but that was in the mid 90s, right. This was in 1980, the first 4WD CAR, except an Aussie Ford I think

I think the Brat was more El Camino -ish, more like a truck than a car.

Yup. And it was the late '70s when it was introduced. Subaru has been build AWD cars for a while before AMC introed the Eagle. Though AMC does have the claim of "first domestic AWD car".

No, been very busy. Hadn't had a chance to think about it. But I am not getting thr air bubbles anymore now that you mention it. I haven't kept the gas cap on all the way.
