Thats a nice phone.....I have a question on it though....I own a computer consultant company and we have a guy that didnt want that phone after I recomended it to him cause the lady at cingular told him that the styleist is the main thing on the phone to use you cant use the keyboard for a lot. so I am wondering is this true and how well does it acctually run over wifi. Thanks

It probably runs fine on WIFi, but only if it was capable.

It'* EDGE wireless, just like my RAZR. EDGE is about the same speed is ISDN 128k. 2 or 3 times 56k dialup at best.

My iPaq palmtop runs about half the speed of my laptop on WiFi. You can get hp iPaq'* from Cingular with phones built in, and they run on either EDGE or WiFi.

Bluetooth is too slow for internet, and was never intended for it. You can sychronize with the bluetooth, print to bluetooth printers, use a headset, communicate or transfer files between bluetooth devices, etc.

Looks like a nice unit.

And we set his office up with wifi so he is really looking into the phone he just hates useing a stylist....I let him try out my palm life drive and he hates using it due to the stylist fact.

I thought V3'* didn't have EDGE? I know i'm not in an EDGE supported area down in mankato, but It was my impression the original V3 atleast, did not have EDGE support, only GPRS.

WIndows Mobile is nice, and I had a toshiba with the first X-scale CPU, but damn it was not a laptop relacement 3 years ago atleast. I dunno if i'd wanna give up the small form factor of a phone (let alone my V3) for the power of a WM5/phone device. How'* the integration? it'* been a while since i've used it..

But very

Manifest, it'* "Stylus".

Jason, not only does the RAZR have Edge, but the V500 series (V551, 555, 557, etc) had it too. I used it on all 3 of the 500'* I owned.

GPRS and EDGE are the same thing. In fact, they called it GPRS/EDGE here for the first year.

GPRS is the protocol. EDGE is the trade name for the technology.
