ELMO...5spd or 6spd?

5spd. mother of god, it goes. i had a very interesting trip to get the car.

first, about 80 miles into the trip, 4th gear and the TC dissappear. so i add tranny fluid, comes back for a few miles, then goes away. . so i stop and get more tranny fluid, and while coming back after the purchase i realize that i have locked my keys into my car. . so i search for a coat hangar, cant find one, so i have the cops come and let me in.

so we get back on the road and all is well with my tranny for about 20 miles or so, then 4th and TC go out again. for the rest of the trip they would come and go.

so i take a wrong turn and end up taking a 45min detour. then i get to the car and all is well. look at it, drive it, buy it. and as im about to leave, austin started the bonnie for a few mins, then it dies. out of gas. damn running in 3rd gear. so the seller had some gas that we put in. but wasnt enuf to get to the pickup. so we go to the gas station, get some gas then come back and put it in the bonnie. starts up and we leave.

the drive back was quiet. i tested the acceleration of the maxima. its very good

less than 15mins from my apt. both of us get pulled ovr. we were goin 85 in a 70 in the wet. the cop asked about my no plate, i explained. he said to slow down, and he cant write a ticket to someone wearing a cubs bracelet.

and that leads me to here.

Were you by any chance in the Iowa/Illinois Quad City area yesterday? I saw a car EXACTLY like yours on the road.

That may be him, he went down to Iowa, to pick up the car yesterday, I'm not sure where.

I think it was Elmore. I was in a 01 GP GT, dark bronze with three other people. We were heading from your left to right, you were stopped to cross Elmore or turn onto it.

There wasn't much else around for cars at that moment. I was in the back driver side.

i didnt look hard at the car, i just saw it was a GP. did ya hear me drive away?
