My brothers use to say to my mom "C'mon Mom, let me hit her just once" My dad was one tough guy and my brothers, even though they were almost as tough, knew better than to mess with Dad. I wasn't a brat- I was just pampered
I was a good kid that didn't get into a whole lot of trouble. I was a cool sister and am still a cool sister.
