Default My car was nice to me today.

I must have started the car about 10 times all day today. Each time it started up fine. My transmission didn't act up at all. And my heat worked.
(My car has been being a clunker lately)
Anyways, I'm happy.
I picked up a trans filter and gasket today and I'll be dropping the pan soon. God only knows how much crap is going to be on that magnet. lol.
Today, life is goood.
Hope you all had a good one too.

I tried that once... not but 3 weeks later my tranny was dead... i fried both shift solenoids, clutch packs, torque converter, and lots of sensors. I never figgured exactly what happened, but somehow my transmission starved itself of oil and thus decided to burn up.

That was my beginner transmission experience and i will never do it again ... i hope your changes go much better.

i had a similar experience after dropping the pan at 216k...there was loads of shavings in there.....oringal trans...keep in mind though it was a 4t60...not electronic...but it crapped out at 220 when it started banging in and out of gear and slipping out of gear like crazy, you would be driving along and it would try to shift to 2nd and go to neutral....if you hit the gas hardenough it would rev back into 2nd. i guess it is worth a shot though.

Well I know my fluid isn't low so hopefully I'll have better luck.

My week wasn't so good, the alternator crapped out soon as a fuel pump job was completed
