I'd like to know who has had to have engines (and drivetrains) replaced, and what could have caused this. Relevant topics are spun bearings and the like. Do I have to have had the car for all of its engines and drivetrains to join this thing I'm coining? My 94 was bought at 16K from the son of a dealership owner by Person M. Person M drove the car until 278K miles. During that time, the engine block was replaced and rebuilt twice, and the transmission was rebuilt twice. The guy'* plan worked, but it was expensive. Basically, he beat the crap out of the car, and he replaced the engines as necessary. :(

Willwren, McGrath, and Dirthead Racing are some of the people who have had more than one engine. It seems 93-SSE will soon join. I guess the 442 Olds guys should be in this as well since their car has had not just the front engine replaced, but it runs on two! That'* awesome. The guys that have owned Frankenbonne should throw that car in here.

I could probably go on about this and search and whatnot, but I would appreciate it if everyone could list how many engine replacements/rebuilds have been needed per car. Thanks!

Replaced the motor in my 93 at 91k (bought it blown) with a 28k motor. Motor blew due to oil pump failure.

currently the car has 108k I believe.

I'm really intrigued by all the people here that have broken 300K. My car is going to do that in 9K miles. However, I've had it since I joined BC, and it'* only gotten 13K miles from me. I'm sure drag strips add a few years...
