It'* so dark, no light gets threw, but it'* not heavy. I use no bitter grains, only roasted, and chocolate, add oatmeal to make it creamy, and lactose sugar to add a slight sweet smooth flavor, and 1028 yeast to give a full creamy head that lasts. Comes in at about 4.5% to 5%. I really need to brew up another batch, I'm all out.
Sounds a lot like the true Guiness Stout on tap that they served me in Scotland recently. It was way smoother and creamier than the stuff you get over here.
