this is just hearsay, but ive heard they dont get the greatest reception in weak areas, if youre in an area where the network is like a blanket then it probably wouldnt be an issue, but out in the boondocks it might...ive never seen it proven thats just what ive heard.
my uncle has one and ive compared it to my V180 a couple times...its easily a good inch or more wider than my phone, and at least the same taller..its thin though, and like my uncle has complained about, its harder to find a case for because its so wide.
when you open it up its a pretty good size phone, i much prefer handling my phone to his.
the buttons arent off to themselves on the RAZR, theyre kind of like on a big pad, when you push a button other buttons move, i just dont care for it.
i abosolutely LOVE the screen though, its huge! like 3 of my phone screens fit in one...but honestly? thats about the only thing i like about it.

Well the width doesn't bother me, I'm a big guy with big hands (you know, big gloves and all ). Reception isn't a problem in our area, although I've heard the opposite LittleHoov, most people I know say its the clearest phone they've owned.
My main concern is battery life at the moment, I still think I'll go for it thus far, I'm a sucker for sleek design...:P

Bah. That'* bare-bones. I used to be a Nokia fanatic, but finally learned from my mistakes and went back to Motorola.
My V551 has a 1MP camera and video. Also has Bluetooth. Comes in very handy, considering my laptop and my PDA are both bluetooth as well. Not to mention several printers at work.
Using bluetooth or a cable, my phone calendar synchs to my Outlook calendar on my laptop. Very handy. All my contacts are synched between the phone, laptop, and PDA.

Damn that Nokia is HAWT! :P
The bluetooth capabilities are one of the selling points for me, do you use a bluetooth headset bill?

I use the bluetooth simply to synch (I have the Motorola software) and occasionally to use my phone as a modem using Cingulars GPRS/Edge system when I'm not near an internet connection with my laptop (emergencies only). I have limited internet built into the phone as well.

I was looking at the Razr cause Im thinking about opting out of my nextel contract[no term fee since Ive had previous mishaps that nextels paid for], only thing keeping me from it is that its nice and all, but for a flip, ive heard horro storys or people going to "pop" it open[ya know the old thumb nail in the side then "pop" it open] and having the headset part snap all the way back like the mechanisim broke.

i have a razv...black. i love it. battery life is marginal...not bad..but not good. charge it every night and buy a car charger. the phone is NOT fragile. i have dropped it on concrete and tile many times. never broken it. keypad and screen are unbelievable. screen attracts facial oils. not very comfortable to use as a handset against your ear though...definitely buy a bluetooth headset. phone fits very comfortably in pockets. i forget i even have it in my pocket. super thin...but with a solid feel. phone does NOT break when you flip it open. only complaint is that mine seems to have less-than-average voice clarity. when i use my friends' phones (with cingular), i experience excellent clarity. but with my phone, there seems to be a significant loss of clarity. not sure why. i am going to take the phone in next week to see about a firmware upgrade. anyway, go for it. they are great phones. i payed to get mine unlocked...i highly recommend you do the same. PM me with any questions. i've had mine quite a while and tinkered with it quite a bit...so i might be helpful.

I like my V710, but they replaced it with the E815 (i think). Its comfortable to hold and gets great reception. My votes in for that one
