I lived 20 minutes from downtown Milwaukee for 14 years and that is way more peaceful than living 1 hour from philly. And the closer you get to philly the worse it gets.

The closest city to me that is on that list is #96. Kinda hard to beat that.

How do they rank/rate stress?

O.K I was actually reading a book on the best and worst cities in a library a couple of weeks ago. Let me tell you it is so biased. Its geared towards people in their 40s with a family and people who work for big coorperations. Being close to an major airport and having lots of office buildings scores BIG points. Amount of kids graduating from high school and the the amount of schools in general score HUGE points.

I am a 21 year old male that could care less about that crap. This is what I care about and every other teenager, and people in their 20s care about. That is THE COST OF LIVING. Minneapolis is in the top 5 MOST expensive places to live. The average income is $50,000 a year and the average cost of a house here is $195,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Compare that to Fort Smith, Arkansas that has a similar economy to Minneapolis and same average income and less people with an income of under 20 grand. Yet the average cost of a house is $72,000!!

Minneapolis consists of parents and kids. I mean lots of kids. Hence we are #2 for the worst urban spral. There are over 50 kids in my neighborhood alone! Minneapolis is also one of the worst places to get a date as well. The schools, airports, libraries, and office building hold such a high point value that the cost of living barely even affects the total point value!

So you tell me! I think those ratings are a bounch of crapolla. Trust me if I wasn't a part of a company i'd move south in a heatbeat. I've even heard it on clubgp from folks living in Texas. "We mod our cars because its so cheap to live and have nothing else to spend our money on". Up here people live paycheck to paycheck. Trust me if you're in you're 20s Minneapolis is NOT the place to live.

Fantastic, i wouldn't say that we have a high cost of living, especially lakeville. NY, anywhere in CA, etc... ALl whoop us. We do have higher education normally, and other neat stuff.
