Hailey, Sounds like you may have some spyware rooting around. Wilwren is correct. Gator and "Bonzo Buddy" are the worst offenders. I use Ad-Aware and SpyBot *&D. (Search and Destroy). I run both. Use them both as one often finds spyware that the other doesn't. Here are some links.

Spybot is awesome. I run it on both of my computers about every 2 weeks, especially after the kids have been over. Finds all kinda stuff, and even has good descriptions of most of them so you don't have to guess if you should keep it or not.

Even finds potentionally mischiveous cookies. (Them damn Keebler elves, they look all inocent...)

Thank you so much everyone for your help...my computer is in tip top shape now. I took all your suggestions and the programs found 19 spyware programs!!! No wonder the slowdown!

So anyway, thanks for helping this computer illiterate redneck :P ...you guys rock.
