Usually the only time 60Hz flashes on ya is if you're under the same frequency of lighting, i.e. flourescent lighting. Then, yeah, gives me headaches too!!

Agreed. Those LCD'* are much better this last year. A friend of mine got one for $350, a 17" (can't remember the brand) and does gaming awesomely. I was with Rogue, and warned him of the same thing as Rogue has here, and seeing the gaming on that monitor myself has changed my opinion.

60hz doesnt bother me.....i can barely see the line... if youwerent looking very hard you couldnt even notice it. it doesnt give me headaches and doesnt hurt my eyes...but man the computer at school that im looking at now is hurting my eyes cause of the flourescent lights i guess. my monitor doesnt bother me at all in the dark. its much easier to look at then. and my TV is kinda fuzzy anyway. but thanks for all the ideas.
