Default Miscellaneous cool photography of mine (10 pix)

A little bit of what I've done over the past little while.

The Equipment

Newest addition.. SUPER wide angle lens

Pensive Gaze

Sidewalk Protrusion

Magneta Lane

More ML

Totally love how French of ML plays bass, the way she stomps and sways without a single expression on her face...

Emily Haines (of Metric)

One of the members of a band, literally known as Holy ****. They're a walking techno/beat act, but LIVE. They use instruments you might've played with as a kid. Toy keyboards and a 35mm film synthesizer (Don't quote me on that) are among what they use. So awesome.

PC photo guys unite! Minolta has some nice stuff, some damn good lenses.. but their DSLR is kinda behind the times.

19mm without a DSLR magnification... Gotta be fun!

Film scanner, or a Processing CD?

Conventional flatbed scanner with a 35mm negative carrier - a Canon CanoScan 4200F, capable of 3200dpi

It'* a damn shame that Konica Minolta no longer exists under their own name. The spirit lives on in the Sony A100 dSLR - I played around with it at the camera shop and all my lenses work with it. Unfortunately the noise levels at high ISO sensitivies (800 and up) are pretty lousy. I'm going to wait and see what Sony comes out with for their second dSLR before I make a jump. I like the ergonomics (considering the A100 is a rebranded and updated Konica Minolta 5D), I like the body-integral image stabilization, so even my super awesome 20 year old 50mm f/1.7 prime lens gets some anti-shake.

The camera itself, my parents purchased a year before I was even born... its showing its age, and just recently the autofocus motor has been acting up and making funny noises. I think I'm going to spend a little and upgrade to a mid 1990'* (vs. 1985) spec Minolta 700si:

Brian- none of these were done on my stomach this time
Right now it'* just a serious hobby of mine... I'm really an engineering student. Might consider going semi-pro and make a few (read: minimal) bucks as a freelancer or contributor to some websites.

Glad you guys liked the pics
