Jesus, dude, way too fast on that move...
Even in that crappy pic, I can tell that the car has been hit. The bumper has a huge dent, and the hood is domed, with a big dent on the leading edge. From the location of the dent in the bumper, I'd guess the right fender also has some damage?
Granted that the visible damage is fixable, but there'* no telling how solid the motor is. $500 is a good price for it as a parts car, but it may have been a bad idea to sell the Bonnie before you got a chance to drive the Bimmer for a while.

I looked at it already, it was very well taken care of, the engine is so clean you could eat off of it. The hood, bumper and grille do need replaced which is no problem for me, since I have alot of $$ left over.

I've seen sellers degrease an engine for the first time ever, to hide leaks from a buyer...
Am I right about the fender? It looks like the hit would have driven the bumper back into the fender a little.Check the core support right around the bumper supports, as well as at the front on top. Make sure there'* no evidence of wrinkles on the inner fenders near the A-pillar and firewall. Any of the above would be a dead give away to a hard hit that'* been repaired. Another thing is to look at the screws that hold the fender on the frame. Look for evidence that they've been moved.
Hopefully the thing is solid, and I want a ride if I make to your meet...

It'* a very solid car. The engine is clean, but does have dust, etc on it. I check ont eh underside and looked at everything. The wreck was he hit a pole at like 10mph, it wasn't much at all. But yes, you can drive it. Everyone else will.

Sorry if I sound paranoid, I used to inspect lease-return cars for an auction. Some of the tricks they use to cover up damage would astonish you...
With my family'* history of getting raped by used cars, I now offer to do a body inspection on any used car that my family or friends buy. I've saved a few friends money they would have spent on cars that had been extensively repaired. I even got a local dealer busted for selling a half-and-half(a car that had been put together from two wrecked cars)without a salvage title. The bastard tried to sell it with a clean title!!
But jeez, man, you did move fast!
