cheer or queer? personally i think they're SICK lookin! as much as i hate the snow and i hate mud, ive seen a couple vehicles with them and they're just badass. plus i hear they make them for atv'* now for all you quad/trike lovers out there. (that image is how id feel is if i was driving a later model k5 (2dr) or yukon gt (2dr) with a bored/stroked 350)

o yea they are about unstopable. Ive seen a demo of a Hummer H1 with tires VS. a H1 with mattraks, the the tire equiped one tried to turn off the road into 5 feet of snow and was stuck before it even made it all the way off the road, the traxs equiped one crawled right into the snow wall and just kept going.

Yes they have made em for 4x4 quads for a while and also make em for sport quads now

i can only imagine the fabrication and modifications that goes into the suspension, brakes, and steering and the front wells. definitely pricey but hey, we can dream right?

actually most of the kits are a direct bolt on.. takes a lil over an hour to install em, then when the snow and mud is gone, wheels go back on. But yes pricey! the kits for atv'* cost almost as much as the atv.

Nice concept but too new and the pricing ridiculous.

Just for the "toy' version for ATV'* is $5100 and the reviews I found say they are about useless without power assisted steering.
On to the real deal'*....While the websites by MattTracks are elusive about pricing, your friendly web ferret culled them out.
Who could or want to afford these prices :

105-M1-A1 $26,500 F-150, Expedition, Explorer, even down to the truly light end such as a Jeep.

150-M1-A2-SA $36,500 Medium end of light duty trucks, F-250 (or even the heavy end of the 1/2 ton market if you're planning on loading the truck down).200-M1-A1 $70000 (68000 + $2000 for Steering Assist unit).

200-M1-A1 $70,000 (68,000 + $2,000 for Steering Assist unit). Heavy duty trucks. F350/450/550

I think with each, alot more would be needed as far as additional shocks and steering dampers if you expect to keep a suspension under your truck

So while we all dream away of owning a truck worthy of a Siberian edition of a James Bond Movie..... I did find one thing in my search worthy.

pricing is indeed insane, but they're definitely not new. i remember seeing stacy david (the old host of "trucks) like 10yrs ago feature a bronco with those on it. either way, still too cool if you ask me.
