Default Mass Air Flow sensor=transmission problems?

Well my car was diagnosed to see what was wrong with the constant downshifting/upshifting/ poping in and out of gears problem with my tranny. he says its the mass air flow sensor thats causeing the problem cause he loses voltage when the tranny acts up from the M.A.F.*. Is this a possibilty? Took the mass air flow sensor plug out and it still acted up /w CEL

I was right it wasn't the mass air flow sensor biggest waste of $60 for a diagnosis....... Never heard the mass air flow sensor causeing such problems like that plus I wasted $150 on a new M.A.F. but I hopefully will get the $150 back

No clue but the car shifts like a charm untill the car is about 8 mins worth of driving then it upshifts/downshifts/drops in and out of gears....... Shutting the car off and restarting does not help its all about how warm the car is when it acts up.......btw no temp gauge or warning light....... Hoping he will give me another option to look at like a range sensor mabey but dont know if thats gona work neither do I know what it is.....fords grrrrrrrrrr fords grrrrrrrrrrr mabey it was something I shorted out when I cleaned my engine way back mabey some kind of computer problem

Its a Contour. Need I say more. The only good fords in my mind are Crown Vics/ Gr. Marquis and the Mark VIII LSC. Dood you can find cheap */C 3800 powered cars. I'm looking at a 95' LSS with the */c for only $2900. I drove it and it is a bat out of hell, 0-60 in probably 7sec flat. It has every option too. Just look around. BTW... Can a auto Contour even do burnouts? :?

Yes as long as I can get the rpms up I find a little bit of water or spray alittle on the ground when no one is looking and once they spinning I can move onto the dry stuff and smoke em for a long *** time its decent for a 4 cyl but no low end torque. What I like doing usually is put some water down get em spinning move to the dry stuff when spinning and yank the e-brake.........I still have burnt rubber on the side of my car and plastered into the wheel wells........b4 I get flammed for this I ONLY PAID $130 so why not have alittle fun

Its a 2.0l dohc engine minor mods exhaust+intake cheap only costed $40 total plus interchangeable
