Actually Crazydriver brought it up and I started thinking of it once again.

yep. The Cutlass (Malibu'* deceased cousin) all had standard 6 cylinders in them while Malibus had avail 6. at those times I thought if you really wanted the 6 cyl and wasn;'t foor sure about whats under the hood, get the Cutlass.
