LMAO, yea thats NY for ya. My g/f lives in brooklyn during the school year and she has this slummy little apartment, its was one big room in a nice brown stone building. then the landlord put up walls and doors and made it cramped and cheap. She pays $2100 a month in rent.

The house my father lives in:
Ranch, Two bedroom, one bath, kitchen, dining room, living room, with a decent size yard in a nice area.... would go for about 400-450

My mothers house is a two story 5 bedroom 3 bath, huge, in ground pool, two car garage, private driveway, and it goes for about 1.2 mil.

I pay around 600 rent to live in my fathers finished basement apartment. and thats a deal because they dont make profit off of it, I just pay to live basically
