That would be the ultimate sleeper. The sound alone would be worth it.

not the point of this tho

the point was to install a LS1 into an older body style GP the ultimate sleeper lol
umm...you're a little off...power wise anyways. the LS1 is quite a but more powerful than the LS4

Some LS1'* were rated below 350, originally only the Y body LS1 was rated @ 350HP. The F bodied engines made more then they were rated for, but were still held back somewhat.

But the LS4 bolts right up to the 4t65 as well, and mounts for it are available through GM readily to mount into a W body atleast. I've wondered how they go over to the normal LS1/2 engines... :?:

Interesting fact: The LS1/LS4 aluminum engines weigh less than the Iron through and through L67'*.

Personally, I would stick with an iron block and heads. just for their durability. like how i've overheated mine and you would never know it, and if you did that to an LS engine, kiss. it. goodbye.

There'* a 40lb+ difference in the block alone on an LS1 vs the similar truck blocks. LSx'* are every bit as reliable, if not more than a 3800.
