Wow. My hard drive, a FUJITSU MHT2060AT, is only 4200 RPM...

Might be time for me to go shopping, too..

i use my laptop for bc browsing and other basic functions as well and I'm saying go 7200rpm or dont even bother..vista runs sooo much better on it.

I just picked up a Toshiba Satellite A105-S4184

1.73GHz Intel Centrino Core Duo Processor D.L. DVD/RW 15.4 inch. Brightview,120gb / 5400 hdd / 1gb 533 ddr2 ..2gb max..etc..

Awesome laptop,quiet,fast,portable (for me..YEMV) one to check out for sure.

I have a ASUS and i love it. You can find them in allot of places, just to get your feet wet. Look them up on newegg. there alittle pricy but awesome.
