My parents insuarnce will I love my parents car insurance there driving records have been clear for so many years like 10+ no accidents no tickets they pay 1000 a year to insure 1 1999 intrigue (full coverage) plus a 1996 town+country (full coverage) and a 1991 pontiac 6000-le (libility) and then i pay alone 800 a year for 1 car i have and libility only but for some really odd reason my insurance covered a 2000 dodge neon rent-a-car that I totaled and never paid to get the xtra insuracne plus it was registered under my dads name and I am not even 18 years old (to drive a rent-a-car) plus I was ralling it when I smashed into a tree I never knew was just around the corner of the building when i was cornering on rocks plus I never had an accident report

Weird eh?

well if the rental was in your DADS name then it would be HIS insurance that covered it and therefore went on his record, not yours

the fact still remains the van was in *HIS* name and it was rented out to *HIM* being 18 makes it ok as it wasnt from an actual rental car place, when we were waitin for the ford dealer to get us our new Explorer in we got a Mustang GT as a "loaner" and they said as long as i was 18 i was ok to drive it home (i had to go and pick it up) so a dealer loaner is different than a rental....
