I have the Logitech Z-560'*, which is an old school 4.1 version of the same family of speakers. 400 watts rms...the sub 188 watts RMS on its own.

They will blow you away. These things can pound crap off the walls if I wanted them to. Gaming, music, dvd'*...whatever.

I can't wait to hook these up! I got the Z5300e. I would have loved the 188w sub, but the 100w will do fine, especially since it is DESIGNED to pump low bass with the dual chamber. The THX quality will be nice too.

The three colors for the inputs on my Asus MB are different colors than the cables provided though. The speakers come with orange, green, and black. My MOBO has green, blue, and pink. What will I have to do to hook them up right?

Anybody?

No worries though, I can't hook these up until I get back home on Thursday.

Hook them up and play with your balance controls. That'll tell you what goes where.

Yeah, it will have to be that way. Unless someone had the same situation that already knows what works....

EDIT: Actually one color matches. The pink and blue will be the black and orange... I was thinking they were all different until I just looked up a pic of it again.

The green, blue, and pink inputs are the audio, since my current 2.1 speakers plug into the green. Not sure what the other 3 are on the left of those (yellow is usually video).

THat Motherboard in the Pic is Not 5.1 or even 4.1

Its only 2.0

You need a new Sounds car

The Blue is Line Out, and the Pink is MIC

That motherbd is at least 6.1 and possibly 8.1. Its at least an Asus P4 series which were all 6.1 Notice two more audio connectors to the left of that yellow one. Yellow is often used as video out but asus also uses it as subwoofer out also, but that does look like a video out to me too.

Bandit, it'* actually a 6 channel, onboard 5.1 dolby digital encoder: (ASUS A7N8X Deluxe)

The A7N8X is ASUS'* entry into the nForce2 chipset market. It supports a Dual Channel DDR400 memory bus, 8x AGP, 6-channel Dolby Sound (SoundStorm), and the only onboard 5.1 Dolby Digital encoder available in a chipset. The MCP-T also provides 10/100 NIC functionality, six USB 2.0 ports, IEEE-1394 (Firewire), and an ATA133 controller. ASUS has added an integrated 3Com 10/100 NIC, support for vocal POST error reporting, intelligent fan speed adjustment, and an automatic shutdown system for protection against thermal CPU damage, making this a fairly feature-packed board.
I may have to look at the MOBO manual for further instructions on where to connect these then...

EDIT: Popatim, if those two to the left of the yellow are audio, then the orange and green are covered. The black would be the only odd ball....
