You have the ELC system??? The air compressors are good at draining batterys. If it'* parked.....just take the bat. out maybe?

Yeah, that'* what I did. Cold weather plus drain on battery = death of battery. I learned that the hard way . If the car doesn't need to run, no point in having the battery in there. Investing in a cheap charger isn't a bad idea, either. I slow charge my battery weekly [which is sitting in my basement]. Yeah, fumes are bad, blah blah blah, but I spray paint in my basement, I still haven't died yet.

its the ELC keeping the correct ride heigth because of thoes 4 12"* in the trunk

Great little vehicle.
I have an 88 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 4.0L as my Winter hauler too.
Helps me keep my Bonne & Bird under cover in bad weather and gets me up the logging roads.
It'* a real go anywhere SUV.
