Kinda, but it only runs the lindows programs nativly. If you wanna cheap computer just buy it and reformat it with windows.

im just looking for a os for the new cpu im building. all i do is go online and play games. would lindows work for that?

Depends on where you're going online to. If you're going to MSN gaming zone, I don't think it will. Anyone know for sure?

I see. No, Warcraft and others won't work on that platform, unless there'* some written for it. Last I checked, they only write them for the more popular OS'* (Windows, MAC OSX), very few for Linux, and none for lindows.

You should still be able to get online, but not install programs. I could be way off here, but last I knew there was just not a lot of support for lindows, not to mention the software being extremely buggy.

Wine would allow you to game on a linux box, not sure you want to run linux made to emulate windows just so you can run a windows emulator to run windows programs. Be eaiser/faster to just run windows.
