Also, is it that bad that we might want to buy an island? It is better that you aspire to buy an island than to hit a bowl or a plate or something. Think of buying an island as just another weird and expensive hobby. Plus, with all the connections I'm sure we all have, we could probably get something really good together and start raking in people to see how good the Bonneville is. There could be little, Bonneville-shaped furniture and lighting fixtures!

Well, if I were running this little island operation, (as I said above) I would turn it into a vacation destination for automotive performance enthusiasts (albeit rich ones, i.e. Jay Leno). This would include a hotel/condo operation, entertainment, and a host of other activities to entertain the guests (racing, etc)...all at a cost to the guest. The profit generated from those operations would be the return on the purchase of the island.

Ok, but then there'* the paying of employee'* to work for the island owners. Who'* gonna pay em? Really now....

With all due respect to the Bonneville, just how many people do you think are going to plan their vacations and their top two choices are going to be Bonneville Island or Disney World? Hmmm...Bonneville Island...Disney World...Bonneville Island...Disney World...Hey kids! We're going to Bonneville Island! Where we'll see a bunch of guys driving around in grampa cars flashing gang signs at us. Sweeeeet! LOL!
