Well, I have a few days off, and I am pretty bored, so I thought, I wonder if I could make my crappy $.30 lighters make a 12" tall flame. Well.. I didn't make 12" but damn close. These are REAL photos.. I didn't photoshop these, I swear.









There was a little more sticking up, I guess the camera didn't catch it, but the last pic, the tip of the flame was just below the tip of the ruler.

my girlfriend made one of my lighters into a torch while I went to the bathroom once. I burnt the tip of my nose(it was solid black) while I was lighting a cigarette
