Thanks Tim it has been the week from H3LL Baby is great and they are already talking about moving him to the civic hospital...

Mom has finally seen a Internist for her Blood Pressure (bout ******* time)

She didnt really like the meds she was on and is going to change them around Also didnt like all the Adeima so is going to try water pills... We should be out of here tonight or in the morning..

Lelands BelliRubins came back at 5pm lastnight well in the acceptable range, He was left under the lights for an extra 12 hours just to be safe. Also the little bugger ripped out his feeding tube yesterday afternoon it was reinserted at 7 am this morning he was wearing himself out feeding on the bottle.
well got some newer pics gotta get mom into NICU to try nursing.

Well time for an update... As you can see it'* 5 am

We decided to come home for the weekend trusting Leland is in good hands :? and to get some good rest. We have had some issues in the last week. One being me getting escorted out of the Hospital, we went in for rounds and they brought up transferring Leland to the other site across town and said it would only happen if Mom was being discharged (this was tuesday) Well she wasn't and when I went into let them know they already had the transfer team there, Basically they didnt like my paternal instinct of protecting Mom and Child . And they went against there "Never separate mom and child" motto.

Anyways..

Mom was released the lext day on all sorts of BP meds like having to tell her our son was't just down the hal anymore helped her get the rest they so wanted her to get.

As of Today both are doing well and Mom is now out of the hospital, She is feeling very down at times not getting the much needed mother child bond but I keep reassuring her it will come. Since the little episode at the other hospital every nurse that talks to her asks if she is safe at home (She mentioned that was getting old and I was only doing what any father would have done) So I left tonight to deliver milk to Leland 2.5 hour round trip and spoke to the Charge nurse and advised her that is any more suggestions of violence at home or the DO you feel safe with him comments didnt stop I would be talking to the director of the hospital. There is a social worker that talks to all parents of pre term babies and she has no concerns whats with the nurses. I was told it would Stop but I will be contacting the Social worker on monday just to make sure.

Leland had gained 150 Grams in the last 3 days and that is above avg they expect to see anywhere from 60-90 grams in a 3 day period. We had a little bit of a scare today when the fresh out of school nurse said one of the PKU tests came back positive so I took blood to send in for further testing BUT i can not tell you what was positive because I have no idea ( Bad Move IMO) she said the Dr would have to talk to us... Turns out Leland has no signs of this Hormone thing all other things that should be way out of whack are not and should be at this time Dr said 99% chance it is a false positive and it happens not to worry even if he has it, It is easily treated. I did tell the Nurse (Child) that unless she has detailed info she should do something like that and The Dr agreed.

When I went back to the first hospital the one I was removed from I had the opportunity to speak to another DAD who was in the NICU when I was in there and he said Like the security guard that I did nothing that any father wouldnt have done... SO all is well there But I think some of the younger nurses are taking there jobs way to far. :?

anyways Time to catch some zzzzzzzzzzzzzz'*

Thanks guys...

Well we brought Leland home yesterday after hanging around in purgatory at the Hospital (waiting for 4 hours to pass by after the circ) The drive home messed up his schedule a little and think that with increased nursing by mom maybe we are over feeding a little so we are going to just nurse now and see how he is in 3 hours. Other then that I havent been on as much since i moved phone and internet to the new house and am just getting here now to start painting. ughhh lol

We brought him home weighing a whooping 5.7 pounds not bad considering a week ago he was only 4.8...

I have more pics and will post them after

later guys.

oh that nurse that I had the problem with has been writen up and i'm sorry to say it will follow her through the rest of her nursing career. Maybe next time she will think before she startstalking about things she has no idea about and will hopefully not put the fear of god into people anymore.

thanks Brian..

His feedings are messed up with yesterdays circumcision and the travel home. Mom wanting to nurse and reluctant to pump.. but after watching him suck back almost 70 mls 3 hours after nursing she gets the drift, That right now until the 40 week mark supplementing with a bottle here and there isnt such a bad thing. and then not wanting to switch from the real thing and formula pumping is the best thing..

I promise some at home pics soon just trying to get the new place ready and mom'* place packed up. then be there for him and her as much as possible omg I need a drink.

We have an appointment for Tuesday and hope to hear about the blood work taken last Friday. :?: other then that Leland besides not wanting to burp is doing great.

LOL- my granddaughter doesn't want to burp either ...OMG you should see the fit she throws if you take the bottle out of her mouth before its empty!

Grats on getting everyone home safe and sound. Thats got to feel good. I hope Mom is fairing well with the depression she was having; that can be a tough one to manage. Letting her have a bottle regularly is good imo, it lets you hand her off to the grandparents so you two can spend some time together. Its good for the grandparents too; we get lonely without kids around ya know.

Now you have about 6 months for her first teeth and word. My granddaughters tooth came in last week and her first word was...Nana :( despite all the coaching from me and the other Popa.
