Default lawn mower assistance

allright we just bought a John Deere LT160. and one annoying safety feature is the fact you have to push a stupid little button before you can mow going in reverse. can anyone tell me how to override that?

Sounds like a safety feature I would be catious about circumventing.

If it is a button, you should be able to go behind it and short the wire. Prior to doing this permanently, though, I would take a shorting wire (short wire with a roach clip, I mean ALLIGATOR clip at each end) and short it out that way. If everything runs fine after that, then go permanent.

NOTE: Modifying safety features will normall void your warranty. Make sure it is reversable, just in case.
