Awesome pictures. Never been over to Ludington, but man if it weren't for logic I would say they looked like they were from the US 2 drive (but knowing that that was too much of a haul, I knew that couldn't be the case).

Heh, US 2 would have been just a little bit longer of a drive.

Yeah. That was obviously not it. But, still, the lake side of the highway looks alot like that. It'* a beautiful drive if you are going for scenary, it is aweful if you are going to get somewhere.

Exactly. It is gorgeous....all the way to Manistique. But so long. It takes forever to get through that area. The UP, overall, is so nice. Pictured Rocks are another great destination and photo opp.!

I'll have to go there and check it out one day. I plan on hitting up the entire west coast of Michigan to take pics. I already got St. Joe, Grand Haven, now Ludington. Next stop, Sleeping Bear Dunes and Traverse City.

Make sure you do the Rocks in the UP!

And when you go to the UP, go all the way to end of the Penninsula. We're going to TC tomorrow for the weekend! (Wife'* friend lives on the Penninsula).

Also, take lots of photos in Harbor Springs! That area is so gorgeous.

Jason wants...

A good tripod
free time..

Great work sol, i like some of your tricks there. Long exposures give you a lot of freedom, what was the bright light in the one pic? Looks like a UFO

That'* the moon. Every pic I took of it looked like that. It was strange. The moon was suprisingly bright that night. Without it, I couldn't have taken these pictures. I was out there a couple months ago, and no moon was showing. It was pitch black.

I've been up to the Sleeping Bear Dunes a few times. If you do end up going to TC, hit up the Old Mission pennisula. Great photo ops in that area with the lighthouse and the vineyards.
