Never late, I never rent movies. I just buy them.

My roomate had a late movie once that by the time he got it returned he could have bought it outright. So I always buy, never rent.

My husband rents movies to show clips in his classes all the time, and he never gets them back on time. I don't think I've been to the video store in years without being asked "Do you want to take care of that late charge today?".

Oh, and it isn't a big deal as long as you don't react to it like this lady, A friend of mine works in a video store. One day a nine month pregnant lady comes in complaining about a $16.00 late charge. She wouldn't pay it so he reduced it by half for her. She was still extremely angry, saying it wasn't her fault, and he just said that there is nothing more he could do. So she decided to try another tactic...threats. She said, "I'm about to pop any minute now, and I will make sure I get back here and do it on you floor!"

OMG! Can you imagine using your pregnancy as a threat?!

Hormones...

You wouldn't believe how many DVD'* i own. it'* just that there are some movies out there that just aren't worth owning, plus i'd never buy a movie unless i've seen it before.
would you buy a car without test driving it?

I usually but them, but when i rent, I remember to return them until the actual day it'* due. I rememebr the day after. So I end up being 1 day late usually. But I rent so rarely that I avoid paying the late fees since I haven't gone back to rent another one since then

I stopped renting movies for this exact reason. I could never return them on time.
Too much drain on the wallet.
