The Ontario emissions test that had to be done before the car was sold... does it count for anything?
No, not at all. CT will want to put their flukey at best equipment on the car and double check it.

Funny thing..it could be the most unsafe rustbucket rattling down the road...as long as it'* breathing clean air..CT is happy.

Yep, I still have to have it tested here. I have a list of stations where I can take it but I'm not sure when I can get the chance. Hopefully I can do it before or after work. I'll let you know if I have any problems. I am already going to let the DMV know they were wrong in not giving me a temporary registration.

I got across the border without the letter from the manufacturer about emissions (they wouldn't accept the label in the engine compartment), and they never asked for proof of ownership or anything. I showed them the Bill of Sale and they didn't even know what it was. It was easier than I ever expected.

As far as the drive home, it went extremely well! It felt soooo good to drive a Bonne again. It drove so much better, shifted smoother, and rode better than my 2 year old Sebring. Even with old suspension, the Bonne is worlds better. But that wasn't a surprise. I kept a modest 70mph for the majority of the trip. I punched it a couple times from a slow roll and all I could hear was "Holy ****" coming from my mouth. I was very pleased.

65mph @ 2,000 rpms = Much better gas mileage than my 2004 4cyl Sebring
