Man, I probably spent at least 7 hours on my car today and all I have done is the rear valve cover, rear plugs (spent a half hour on that &$*# #6 wire!), and the LIM bolted in with the new gaskets. I am so wore out I'm going to need a vacation from my little vacation I'm taking. A little part of me almost wished I had this done somewhere, but I love the idea of saving probably $750 doing it myself. My back and neck are killing me from bending over the engine. My hats off to you guys/gals that do this for a living.

There'* many tricks to make things easier and quicker.

One is experience. Single thing that can cut your time down. Air tools are the next.

On the back killing you, next time jack the front of the car up about 6-8 inches. I find that to be the right height for not committing back suicide when leaning over.

Bill is correct. A air compressor was simply the best tool I bought for my shop. A big compressor, not a cheep little one.

I am lucky enough to be tall, so I used to just lay on my stomach with feet still on the ground. John'* redneck ways to cope with the back 3 were, lose the heat shields and buy new wires for a plug change. Was it just me or do the OEM wires always weld themselves to the plugs?
