OK, so I told you all that I own a suit of armor and here'* the pic I took of it last knight, as I said I would. Bear in mind that I only wear this when I'm feeling very very small and insignificant....

Brrrrrrrr......now that'* really cold......lol.
Why would you say that to a guy? Huh? Both of you....LOL!
This is a hand made, miniature suit of armor, totally accurate and complete in every detail to a full sized suit that resides in the William Randolph Hearst private armor collection.
My wife'* grandfather was a personal armourer to WRH and maintained his rather large collection of armor and built replacement pieces for found suits as needed. This, and all others he made were built using the exact same techniques as were employed by original 13-17th century armourers.
It actually IS a real PITA to take apart and hand polish with dry pumice. It needs this treatment at least once a year. On the other hand, it is an awesome piece of artistry and family history. My BIL has two full-sized gauntlets and a helmet.
We've considered loaning/donating them to a museum, but any we've contacted so far would only take them and store them. There'* currently little interest on the part of the public.

Yeah, look in the mirror. They didn't cover the back end. Apparently, you were supposed to face your enemy... :P

Nice. That reminds me; WillWren and i had a dicsussion the other morning about the limited distance that the fobs seem to have. He metioned holding the fob up under my chin I think it was thus causing my head to radiate/propagate the signal better to get more didtance. The netx time you'r in that, could you try this for me? I am thinking a mile at least with that.

As I was reading Cheetah'* reply, I got this image of me, in a suit of armor, driving the Bonneville, lol. Might get a few looks from the people that actually see while driving...hehehehe.
Unfortunately, I don't get feeling small very often these days. My ego'* way to big to fit in that suit, lol.
And Tracy, of course I figured you were just messing with me, but see my ego comment above...
