Is Kentucky the only place that has doghouses?

I lived in central Kentucky for 5 years so I knew exactly what she was looking for without a second thought.
When I was in Kentucky it was commonly called a “Doghouse.” Up here in Southern Ohio though I have heard both “Doghouse” and “Front Clip.”
So is she right that this is only a Kentucky thing or do any of you have "doghouses" in your part of the country too?

Same conversation on another car forum. Concensus was that it was primarily southern, and some in the northeast. Never heard of it in Texas. "Front clip" is used around here.
dog house covers the motor in Vans! and shelters the dog in the back yard
what about the dog leg? who'* got those? (the part between the door and rear wheel on 4 door cars)
