well i'd been using this version for quite some time and this just started happening out of the blue. makes no sense.

yeah if I leave myself logged in and go do something else.. I have to sign back in usually about 20 minutes then I lose everything.

Not sure if it'* compatable but look for an extension called ReloadEvery

Are you using an accelerator like fasterfox?? If so,try disabling it and see what happens

OOH, i am using google web accelerator, i will disable that and see how it goes. i just logged on for the first time today and it said 291 unread, i checked my PMs and then it said 0 again, THIS is really pissing me off.

Web accelerators are useless for forums, BTW. All they do is save a copy of pages you visit, so it can recycle them the next time you visit. That don't work so good on a page you know will change every time you visit it.
