Just got Fixed and have a couple ?'*
I rolled my Bonneville about a month and halF ago in a snowstorm, and all my Friends say i should just not get it Fixed its not worth the money to repair the damage. But just to let every one know i repaired it and shes almost done getting Fully repaired. i was wondering what the proper tint percent would be or my car? the legal limit in my state (Minnesota) is 50% but i was thinking a little darker but not ridiculously dark. So what % would be awesome or my 97 SE.? ill try to put up a pic oF my Bonneville at the accident site.
Thanks Guys!

I think you answered your own question about tint. Your state law says 50% and that'* the maximum. In Washington state its 30%, so consider yourself blessed if you like tint. You wont get anyone in this forum to encourage you to break the law...

Don't go darker then the limit. Even getting clost like 45% you risk getting pulled over and hastled all the time. I won't even bother getting mine tinted at all.

X3. This is becoming quite an issue across the US and becoming a Police Pet Peeve. Why? Because some disregard the law to the point it' so obvious their breaking the law. Like 5% in on the side windows. And that'* ridiculous, and if I was a Cop and had to walk up to a car without seeing the occupants and their actions I'd be on the patrol units PA system telling them all to get out and hit the ground with my gun drawn. I like to speed and dont care for all the enforcement, but I see the Officer Safety Issue clearly. I have been hearing in some states Police are getting so anal, if you dont have the documentation from the tinter of a vehicle in question, your ticketed.
I'll get off my soapbox and say, It'* great to see you get the Bonneville back together. Lucky for the snow, Eh?

yay soft wet squishy protective powder... i love snow... good job fixing it back... $value may be low but its what its worth in your heart that makes it well worth the fix...
ok is 85% legal on side windows... and they dont care about the back ones... they can be blacked out , but they dont bother people for tint because the cops windows are usually darker than most lol

TL, It varies so much state to state, you have to check your own. Would be a good tech write up if someone could come up with all the stats. PA doesnt allow any tinting. But they dont get real enforcing about it until it'* obvious because alot of cars come stock with a certain amount.
