Ummm yeah; they get paid large sums of money to do those ads because IT WORKS!.
True, it does, otherwise they wouldn't do it. That'* our society...put a pretty, well-known face on a product or cause, and we give them our money.

This thread brings up questions of why it works, and why seeing a celebrity representing a product has so much impact on certain people. Questions like, "Are people who are swayed by a celebrity shallow and consumed with Hollywood?"

I'm glad to see you've seperated from the 'herd'. LOL
What herd? The herd of people who will donate because they see Jennifer Aniston'* face? I don't think that'* a big herd to begin with.

Has anyone seen more ads than the two I've put up? The first is from Photobucket, and the second is from thesaurus.com.

Also, I don't know if one can be considered "conformist" for donating money after seeing a celebrity'* face. It all ends up in the needy getting at least some help. If you've donated money to St. Jude, you're not a conformist. Now go out there and help people, but don't buy any National Enquirers or anything like that.

And now for the assault of smiley faces...
